There is simply nowhere in the world like Vaccaro’s!
“I love this place. The Paninis and Mufalatos were huge and delicious. The cannoli are to die for. This is my new favorite place in Charm City.
Vaccaro's is exceptional. It's just a short walk from the aquarium at the inner harbor so if you want to stop for a bite to eat or for a delicious dessert and latte you won't be disappointed. Their portions are on the very generous side! I like to stop there every time I'm in Baltimore.
Needed something sweet after dinner and Trip Advisor didn't let me down! Easy walking distance from the hotel. Walked out w/6 cookies that were authentically excellent; as good as any I've had from the North End in Boston.
Yummy pastry shop-reminded me of some in New York... Amazing Football sized Eclair and lots of coffee drink choices (with or without alcohol) Brownie Sundae was good too, but really big-enough to share as well. Bring your sweet tooth or "eat dessert first!
I went there at 9pm and the place was packed! I got dessert to go and it was amazing! We order the chocolate and vanilla and plain vanilla napoleons and they were so good! We also order an individual order of their cannoli chips and dips and that was awesome too! I totally recommend this to anyone visiting!
Just go, there's so much there to choose from, your head will spin off your shoulders. Got the cheesecake, Dad got the cannoli.
There is no finer cannoli to be found on this side of the Atlantic. In fact, the last time I visited Vaccaro's. I stood in line next to a well-known member of the President's staff. Apparently, she was sent on a mission up 295 to secure cannoli.
A quaint little cafe in Little Italy off Pratt street, its pastries are authentic and the staff are warm and friendly. Like you've met them before. I had the cappuccino papa: cappuccino with Kahlua, amaretto and whipped cream and my fiancé had the Lemoncello Granita and helped me with the cream puffs. We made the decision to skip dinner altogether and gorge ourselves on an apple napoleon (We came to win!) it was fantastic! I haven't had Italian pastry this decadent and authentic since culinary school. It's a great place and I will definitely be back!
Although there are a few branches of this pastry shop, it is fun to visit the original in the heart of Baltimore's "Little Italy". Once you step inside, the aroma of these baked goods is wonderful. There are all kinds of Italian cookies, cakes, cannoli and many flavors of gelatos. Having grown up in Baltimore I have sampled most everything from here at one time or another but my favorites are the cannoli, Napoleons and especially their scrumptious Rum Cake. Of course, now that I live in New York, there are many great Italian bakeries here. However, no trip back to Baltimore would be complete without a visit to Vaccaro's and a slice of their incredible Rum Cake. I have not had a match to it anywhere.
Whether you're eating in Little Italy or just stopping by for coffee or dessert, Vaccaro's is a must! Every restaurant in Little Italy totally understands when you pass up their dessert because you tell them you're walking to Vaccaro's. I'm pretty sure it's within walking distance from any restaurant in Little Italy. In my opinion Vaccaro's makes the best cup of cappuccino in the entire city. I've taken my Italian relatives her and they loved it! The Italian cookies are just like my Grandmother made! They were very impressed with the pastries and the homemade pastry cream! My kids love the waffles and gelato! There may be a little bit of a wait, but it's worth it! Fun and Delicious!
